What to Wear:

In honor of Halloween being a few days after the festival, all attendees should honor one of the best holidays of the year by getting in the spirit and dressing up. Last year at Mala Luna there were skeletons, face paint and other scary Halloween costumes. If you’re not feeling like dressing up, just chill in your regular festival attire. You’ll want some pictures with your friends in your best. Just remember you can’t wear a full mask or head coverings into the festival.

Who to See:

Here are five artists who will be at Mala Luna that BLEND recommends you check out:

  1. Cardi B

After having earned three number-one singles on the US Billboard Hot 100 and having a baby, Cardi B is back and ready to party. You probably know her from her songs “Bodak Yellow”, “Bartier Cardi”  and “I Like It” but besides her top hits, Cardi B has some awesome songs. Her album “Invasion of Privacy” was a major hit and knowing her personality, the performance will be exciting and entertaining.

2. Young Thug

Known for incorporating multiple musical styles into his music, Young Thug is definitely not just a rapper. After his song “Pick up the Phone” went double platinum, Young Thug has released mixtapes and albums that are too catchy to not love. The rapper is known for working with Future, Travis Scott and other renowned artists proving his artist talent that shows through in his work.

3. Shoreline Mafia

The group from LA consisting of Fenix, Ohgeesy, Rob Vicious and Master Kato, has emerged from the California music scene and created magnetic music attracting listeners from all over the US. One of their biggest hits “Musty” became big when Ron-Ron, a producer, discovered their song using one of his beats. Instead of getting upset with the group, they formed an unbreakable chemistry and ended up producing together.

4. Becky G

Having worked with artists such as Cody Simpson, Will.i.am and Cher Lloyd, Becky G is a force to be reckoned with. She first gained recognition in 2011 when she started posting videos of herself singing online and was picked up by producer Dr. Luke. Her single “Can’t Get Enough” ft. Pitbull was on the top Latin Rhythm Airplay chart in the US and “Shower” was on the top 20 Billboard 100 chart. Known for her spanish songs, BLEND is excited to see her perform.

5. Tierra Whack

The rapper and singer from Philadelphia is known for being the opposite of boring. Her recent album Whack World was 15 songs full of singing, rapping, exaggerated voices and unexpected moments. Promoting self-love and goofiness, Tierra Whack is more than an artist but a true performer. We are hoping she performs “Flea Market” and “Fruit Salad”.
