Beers with the Band featuring Hippie Sabotage
Boasting over 1 billion streams and sold out shows across the nation, Hippie Sabotage is back with new music and shows that visually transport you to inside a kaleidoscope on their Beautiful Beyond Tour. BLEND had the opportunity to join the duo for beers at The Brewtorium to talk music, touring, and why Texas is oppressing their citizens.

Brothers Kevin and Jeff Saurer make up the chill-EDM juggernaut behind hits like “Habits (Stay High)-Hippie Sabotage Remix,” “Devil Eyes,” “Your Soul” and other songs created “for people to smoke to,” according to the band. Since their first EP in 2013, Hippie Sabotage rose to fame and toured worldwide earning them top listeners globally from Los Angeles to Istanbul. The brothers dedication to their music is best exemplified on stage, not to mention their guitar skills that remind us of their favorites artists (watch to find out who). The visuals for their tour alone took two weeks to curate, showing how Hippie Sabotage is part of every detail in creating a psychedelic night for their fans. The Beautiful Beyond Tour ends April 4, so you still have time to check them out in a town near you.

The Brewtorium, located next to the new interactive art instillation HopScotch, is owned by couple Chris and Whitney. From the outside you would think the Brewtorium will look like a giant warehouse on the inside but the wall decorations and chairs make this brewery homey and unique. Locally-owned and dog friendly, if you’re looking for a neighborhood pub to hang out in you need to check this place out. Blair and Jeff sipped on the Soul Surfer with glitter and Kevin drank the Pillow Fort, but we recommend visiting the brewery to taste all of the refreshing, brewed onsite drinks that they have to offer. If the names of their beers aren’t enough fun to make you want to order them, then the swirling glitter will have you sold. To see a full list of drinks and find out more about the brewery, visit http://thebrewtorium.com.
