Ballin on a Budget: An Ultimate Guide to Using Your Student Discount

Okay, guys. This is for my broke babes getting that degree. There are more places with student discounts than you think- and it’s time to start taking advantage of it. Remember to always keep your valid Student ID on you, and be prepared to give your university email address (.edu).

Websites/Apps:

  • Guys!! UNiDAYS is the move. The app will tell you what stores have certain student discounts, when they change, when there are deals, etc...You just need to sign up with your university email address (UT is eligible) Having a UNiDAYS account will get you access to student discounts at more stores.

  • Student beans is another great account to sign  up for! It gets you access to all the discounts and deals for students. It works the same as UNiDAYS, and is a total lifesaver. (UT is eligible)

  • Signing up with your university email address gets you a free 6-month trial on Amazon Prime Student, and an Amazon Prime Student membership is discounted as well once the free trial ends.

  • ASOS offers 10% off full-priced items to students shopping online.

Restaurants:

  • Buffalo Wild Wings offers varying student discounts.

  • Chick-fil-A offers a free drink for students.

  • Dairy Queen offers a 10% student discount.

  • Dominos offers a varying student discount.

  • Dunkin Donuts (some locations) offer a student discount.

  • Pizza Hut offers a 10% student discount.

  • Qdoba has a student discount on a few meals.

Retail:

  • Ann Taylor has a 15% student discount.

  • Charlotte Russe gives a 10% student discount.

  • Cotton On offers a 20% student discount.

  • Dockers has a student discount up to 20% (when purchasing online).

  • Forever 21 offers occasional “21% off” sales for students.

  • GAP outlet offers student discounts.

  • Levi’s offer a 15% student discount in stores and online.

  • Microsoft has a student discount on some products.

  • Pottery Barn Teen has a 15% student discount.

  • The Limited offers a 15% discount for students.

  • Sunglass Hut offers a 15% student discount.

  • Urban Outfitters sometimes offers a 10% discount (unfortunately, not the one on Guad)

Entertainment:

  • AMC Theaters offers a student discount on certain days.

  • Cinemark has a student discount on certain days.

  • Regal Theaters offer a student discount on certain days.

Insurance:

  • Allstate offers a student discount (contingent on grades and driving record).

  • Esurance provides up to 10% off with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

  • Farmers Insurance offer a discount for students under 25.

  • Nationwide has a student discount for drivers 16-24 with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

  • State farm offers a student discount (contingent on grades and driving record).

Technology:

  • Apple provides an 8% student discount.

  • Apple Music offers a discounted rate for students.

  • AT&T offers a student discount with an eligible university email addresses.

  • Dell has a student discount for some computers.

  • HP products are discounted kindergarten through grad school.

  • Lenovo has a student discount on their laptop prices.

  • Spotify offers a student plan that is cheaper and comes with a free Hulu account as well.

  • Sprint Works program can offer you a student discount.

  • T-Mobile offers a student discount when activating a new line.

  • Verizon gives a discount to international students.
