Concert Review: The Wombats
You might know the English rock band by the popular tune “Let’s Dance To Joy Division”, but The Wombats return to Texas to play their newly released fourth album, Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life.

These lads made a stop at The Granada Theater in Dallas, Texas before hitting Austin City Limits Festival for the second time in the last four years. From new listeners to older Wombat veterans, fans came from all over, including their home country, to see their show. One traveler from England traversed across the country, endured a five-hour bus ride from Houston and lugged in the two bags he was living out of into the venue for one great night of live music, singing along to every song.
The Wombats played a variety of songs, from new hits like, “Turn” to old favorites like, “Pink Lemonade”. Lead singer, Matthew Murphy, pointed out two dedicated fans’ poster painted with the lyrics to “Pink Lemonade” - “Another magical Friday night [with The Wombats].” From guitarist’s Tord Øverland Knudsen’s boundless energy on stage to every concert-goer rocking out, it was a magical Friday night indeed.
