Miguel, Mass Meditation, What More Could We Really Ask For?
Miguel truly has done it again. Headlining a mass meditation at SXSW, he brought us back to our calmer sides; a much needed break from the madness currently running throughout downtown Austin. The Big Quiet is an organization that hosts massive meditations for every day people, usually including some musical performances. We were lucky enough to get Miguel, sunset behind him, and peaceful minds surrounding us.

Miguel gave Austin a most beautiful performance doing a rendition of his two songs, “Now”, and “Adorn”, with an orchestra for instrumentals. Picture this with the beautiful skyline in the background, yeah, he did THAT. The best part about it you may ask? He did it for free! All you had to do was RSVP and wait in line, talk about worry-free meditation.
Interestingly enough, Miguel wanted to be a dancer when he was younger, but at just 14-years-old started recording his own songs, and we are so glad he did. My favorite fun fact about the artist is that his favorite superhero is Wolverine (most recognizably played by Hugh Jackman). Well, same here Miguel, same here.
